Wunderman Appoints Joachim Bader as CEO of Central Europe

Wunderman, a leading global digital agency, announced Thursday that Joachim Bader, 47, has been appointed to the new role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Central Europe.
Bader, who begins officially on October 3, joins Wunderman from SapientNitro where he served as Vice President of Continental Europe and was a member of the European Leadership Board.
As CEO of Central Europe, Bader will be responsible for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He will lead the German operation of Wunderman, working closely with the general managers within each German office as well as with Markus Hoefinger and Andreas Widmer, the CEO’s of Austria and Switzerland, respectively.

For over ten years, according to Wunderman, Bader has been one of the most distinguished experts in multi-channel digital marketing and business transformation in Germany.
He brings significant expertise in the automotive, travel, fashion / luxury industries, and oversaw the creation of the digital transformation services for Nivea, Hugo Boss, Lufthansa and Audi.
At Wunderman, Bader will be responsible for developing and expanding the agency’s offering with a particular emphasis on digital services and data-driven marketing.

Prior to joining SapientNitro in 2011, Bader founded the agency CLANMO GmbH, which became a part of SapientNitro in 2011.
Previously, Bader was a member of the Executive Board of Mindmatics, served as a director at Razorfish and, in 2003, founded the agency Pocketframes which Razorfish absorbed in 2005.
Earlier in his career, Bader established the European services for leading Internet portal, Excite, in London and Hamburg, and was Head of Content and Portal Strategy for Telefonica / Sonera in Munich.
