Twitter and WordPress Censor Wikileaks Source Guccifer 2.0 Content

Both Twitter and WordPress have acted in an irresponsible manner by blocking the Guccifer 2.0 content. They have, in fact, suppressed the truth. Twitter and WordPress users must denounce the actions of these dishonest sites.

Wikileaks said Saturday that Twitter has censored the account of Guccifer 2.0 – a pseudonym – which was supplying it the secret information related to Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) and Hillary Clinton’s emails.

Hacker Guccifer 2.0 had tweeted Saturday that it will send the major trove of the DCCC materials and emails to Wikileaks.

In July, according to Guccifer 2.0, Wikileaks had published the hacked documents of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) that it had given to the whistleblowing site.

These documents were related to secret emails that aimed to throw Hillary Clinton’s rival Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders out of the presidential race.

Guccifer 2.0 released the secret documents on the free website service WordPress. However, on Saturday, WordPress deleted the Guccifer 2.0’s documents with the following message:

“Some content on this page was disabled on August 13, 2016 upon receipt of a valid complaint regarding the publication of private information. You can read more about WordPress.com’s private information policy here.”

Democratic party believes that Russia is also involved in the hacking as President Vladimir Putin wants Republican candidate Donald Trump to win the November election. Despite America’s strained relation with Russia, Trump has been an admirer of Putin.

It is believed that the hacked information is related to Hillary Clinton’s frauds and wrongdoings. Wikileaks’ founder Julian Assange has warned that he will release her emails a few days before the election and it will cause a catastrophic damage to Clinton and her campaign. The move is believed to be Wikileaks’ revenge on Clinton and her Democratic party.

Big trouble for Wikileaks, a not-for-profit media organization that releases classified information for public consumption, began in November 2010 when it published 251,287 leaked United States embassy cables (communications).

It was stated to be the largest set of confidential documents ever to be released into the public domain. The documents informed people around the world about US Government’s covert foreign activities.

Later, believed to be under US Government’s pressure, Wikileaks’ major corporate partners severed their relations with the site to disrupt its activities aimed to expose the wrongdoings of various governments around the world.

Most governments that felt uncomfortable with Wikileaks’ revelations, which brought out the truth in the public domain through Wikileaks website, mounted their pressure against Assange to stop his advancing strides against them.

Meanwhile, in an ongoing poll on RMN News Service, when people were asked “Who should be the next President of America?”, a whopping 43% voters said they do not want Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton in the White House.
