Relativity Media Appoints Tamoor Shafi As Chief Digital Officer

Relativity Media announced Tuesday that Tamoor Shafi, founder and CEO of Omnia Media, has been appointed Chief Digital Officer, effective January 19, 2016.

Mr. Shafi will report directly to Ryan Kavanaugh, Chairman and CEO of Relativity. He will lead digital marketing and brand partnerships for the company, and oversee Relativity Digital Studios, which released its first feature-length film, “Summer Forever,” in July 2015.

Additionally, he will work to further build out Quantum, Relativity’s digital platform, grow the sales division and oversee the expansion of the content division as well as exploring new platforms and technologies.

Tamoor Shafi was previously Founder and CEO of Omnia Media, a leading global millennial-focused digital media company with offices in Los Angeles, New York, Vietnam and Toronto.

Relativity is a global media company engaged in multiple aspects of content production and distribution, including movies, scripted television, sports, digital and music.

Relativity Studios, the company’s largest division, has produced, distributed or structured financing for more than 200 motion pictures, generating more than $17 billion in worldwide box-office revenue and earning 60 Oscar nominations.
