Nokia Asha Phones Come with Mail for Exchange
|Nokia has announced that the Mail for Exchange, which enables push email, calendar and contact data synchronization between compatible Microsoft Exchange email servers, is now available for free in the Nokia Store for Nokia Asha 302 and Asha 303.
By bringing Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync protocol-based app to the sub-100 euro mobile device market, Nokia is bringing the business opportunity to entrepreneurs and businesses in high growth economies around the world, says the company.
“Nokia Asha phones blur the lines between feature phones and smartphones, and Mail for Exchange on the Asha 302 and Asha 303 represents a significant step forward in connecting the next billion people to more critical information around them,” said Dieter May, senior VP, Mobile Phones Services.

Mail for Exchange on the Asha phones supports Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2007 and 2010 Servers, and Microsoft Office 365 Mobility online service.
In addition to the encrypted email storage, a variety of Exchange ActiveSync security policies are supported, including alphanumeric password, minimum length for password and remote or local wipe after maximum password attempts, fulfilling companies’ hygiene device security needs.
In addition to Mail for Exchange, according to Nokia, the Asha 302 and Asha 303 have a QWERTY keyboard, harness a powerful 1GHz engine, feature Nokia Browser, which compresses data consumption by 90%, and brings easy access to popular social networks and the Internet.
