New York Goes Online to Help Travelers
|NewYork.com will kick off its official launch today, May 29, debuting the site for all things New York with information on Broadway, events, hotels, restaurants, attractions, tours, real estate and jobs for native New Yorkers as well as visiting friends, families, and business travelers.
Using proprietary technology, an entire vacation can be booked in one transaction on NewYork.com.
The booking engine was developed and operated by Entertainment Benefits Group (EBG), a leading online and travel entertainment provider.
Meanwhile, Las Vegas encouraged travelers to take a swing at the ultimate summer getaway by hitting a 16-foot pinata fashioned after the Mr. Las Vegasdotcom character featured in the latest advertising campaign. (Read: Las Vegas Celebrates Summer with Mr. Las Vegasdotcom)
Through EBG, NewYork.com contracts directly with product partners and serves its clients with call centers that are staffed by travel and entertainment specialists 365 days a year.
“We’re confident the new site will quickly become the #1 destination website for New York,” said Brett Reizen, EBG president and CEO.

In celebration of the official launch, New York notables from a wide range of industries shared what they love about New York. Many of the actors, writers, musicians, chefs, and political and business leaders who have made New York a central hub for art, cuisine and culture and contributed to the city’s excitement, are featured on the site.
