Netflix “Just For Kids” Now Available on iPad

Netflix “Just for Kids” makes it easier and more fun for kids and families to browse and instantly watch a large selection of kid-friendly TV shows and movies.

Now Netflix members can take “Just for Kids” on the road by selecting “Just for Kids” in the upper left hand corner of the Netflix application on iPad to enter an experience designed for children 12 and under.

Leading internet subscription service for enjoying movies and TV programs Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) today, Oct. 1, announced the availability of “Just for Kids” on iPad, stated to be the first mobile version of the section popular with kids and their parents.

Netflix “Just for Kids” on iPad lets children find their favorite shows and movies by swiping through a row of their favorite characters, many of which they will instantly recognize.

In addition, “Just for Kids” displays rows of TV shows and movies organized by easy-to-understand genres such as sing-alongs, superheroes, princesses, dinosaurs and girl power, featuring clear and simple descriptions of the plot of each title.

Netflix technology provides each member with a personalized “Just for Kids” experience based on their taste and favorites.

“We’re very excited to release the first mobile version of Netflix Just for Kids,” said David Watson, director of product innovation at Netflix. “Kids love watching shows and movies on tablets and they intuitively know how to use Netflix Just for Kids on iPad.”

In addition to iPad, Netflix “Just for Kids” is available on PCs and Macs, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Apple TV and certain Smart TVs, Blu-ray players and streaming media players. Other devices, including Android-powered tablets, are scheduled to follow this year.
