Mobile Learning Week to Focus on Digital Skills in Education
|Mobile Learning Week is UNESCO’s flagship ICT in education conference. The 2018 event will be organized under the theme “Skills for a connected world”.
The event will take place on Monday, 26 March 2018 from 9:00 am to Friday, 30 March 2018 – 6:00pm in Paris, France.
Participants will exchange knowledge about the ways governments and other stakeholders can define and achieve the skills-related targets specified by Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4).
The conference will consist in four sub-events and will facilitate actions to:
• Define and mainstream digital skills in education;
• Innovate skills provision for jobs in the digital economy;
• Close inequalities and gender divides in digital skills; and
• Map and anticipate the changing needs for digital skills.
Mobile Learning Week 2018 is being organized in partnership with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations specialized agency for ICT.
It will provide a platform to share best practices in mobile learning, with a specific focus on blending ‘non-digital’ education approaches and mobile learning applications in order to reduce inequality, spur innovative approaches to teaching and learning, and bridge formal and non-formal systems.
