LG Invites Fans to Facebook Chat with Joan Rivers

To offer fans of NBC’s “All-Star Celebrity Apprentice” a fun, interactive viewing experience, LG Electronics USA will host a Facebook chat with one of the show’s guest judges, Joan Rivers, live during the episode featuring LG smart appliances, smart TVs and smartphones.

The show airs Sunday, April 28 at 9 p.m. EDT/8 p.m. CDT on NBC. LG Twitter followers will also have a chance to win prizes used by contestants on the show.

“‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ represents a unique opportunity for a brand like LG to integrate a range of cutting-edge products into the show and to have some pretty interesting personalities interact with our products and our brand,” said James Fishler, senior vice president, marketing, LG Electronics USA.

“And, with our unique ‘second screen’ social media platform, LG is pairing the show with equally entertaining online conversation with guest judge Joan Rivers, while interacting with fans and contributing to a great cause.”

During the show’s two-hour broadcast, Rivers will answer burning questions, like which cast member was the easiest to work with and who she thought was the funniest.

To participate in the live chat with Rivers, viewers can send questions via twitter to @Joan_Rivers using #LGApprentice – the aggregated conversation will appear on LG’s Facebook page.

Viewers will have the opportunity to post questions, follow the conversation and even drive LG’s charitable contribution all via Twitter and Facebook.

After the show, viewers that go to the LG Facebook page to view and repost select videos on their social networks will drive contributions. Specifics about how consumers can drive LG’s donation will be announced on the show.
