How to Create Videos of Your Baby Bumps
|The newest in its series of mobile apps, WhatToExpect.com– an online destination for Heidi Murkoff’s What To Expect parenting and pregnancy brand – has launched its “Grow With Me” app for iPhone sponsored by The Boppy Company.
Everyday Health, Inc. created proprietary time-lapse technology specifically for this app, which turns daily photos into videos that document growth over time. The app for expecting and new parents can be downloaded for free from the Apple App store.
Whether showcasing a baby’s first 365 days or an expecting mother’s blossoming baby bump all in 30 seconds or less, users simply take iPhone photos of the subject as often as desired utilizing an on-screen grid to help standardize photo positioning and then create a movie with just one tap.
The keepsake videos can then be shared via Facebook, YouTube and Twitter directly from the app and can also be saved. Additionally, the “Grow With Me” movie file can be transferred to a desktop for standard home movie editing software.
“The WhatToExpect.com ‘Grow With Me’ app is geared toward our dedicated readership of moms and dads, and the innovative time-lapse technology can be used to visually document any type of growth from post-baby weight loss to the growth of a family tree planted in your yard,” said Goli Sheikholeslami, executive vice president and chief product officer at Everyday Health, Inc.
The Boppy Company will serve as the official launch sponsor of the WhatToExpect.com “Grow With Me” app. In addition to running rich media mobile ads, their signature Boppy Pillow is pictured with a baby in the app’s how-to instructions.
The Boppy Company will also sponsor an upcoming “Belly Bump Photo Contest” on WhatToExpect.com and will subsequently expand its mobile presence across the What To Expect Pregnancy Tracker and Baby Tracker mobile apps.
Meanwhile, the major motion picture, What to Expect When You’re Expecting – starring Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz and Elizabeth Banks – will premiere on May 18, 2012.
