Heroic Play Goes Online for Marvel Games

Mindspark Interactive Network, an operating business of IAC (NASDAQ: IACI), has launched Heroic Play, a one-stop destination allowing fans the chance to play their favorite Marvel games, get the latest Marvel news, and view Marvel-related messages shared over social media.

Through Heroic Play, comic fans are thrust into the Marvel universe and invited to take on 15 games with characters from comics and movies, including The Avengers, Captain America, Iron Man, and The Hulk.

The announcement comes as “Marvel’s The Avengers” – the third highest-grossing movie of all time – releases to audiences on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD, Digital and On-Demand platforms.

“We worked closely with Marvel to create a one-stop gaming destination for fans looking for fast and free access to their much-loved Marvel superheroes,” said Mike Primiani, senior VP, Mindspark Consumer Products. “With the website and toolbar platform, users are able to connect to the Marvel gaming experience however they choose.”

The site also contains a feed of Twitter messages posted in real time and aggregated using Marvel-related keywords.

For users who choose to access Marvel content at any time, the new Heroic Play Toolbar is available, which includes links to games on a character-by-character basis, a game play widget so users can play straight from the toolbar, and delivers Marvel comic news and video feeds via RSS widgets.
