Digital Microsite Explains the EVM Concerns in Indian Elections
|Digital Microsite Explains the EVM Concerns in Indian Elections
The RMN microsite on EVMs presents multiple aspects of EVM use in Indian elections.
Raman Media Network (RMN) Company – which has been working in diversified content creation, management, and distribution businesses on a global scale for the past 12 years – has launched a microsite about electronic voting machines (EVMs).
There have been numerous complaints about the misuse of EVMs in Indian elections. It is alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of prime minister Narendra Modi manipulates EVMs to win certain key state elections and Lok Sabha elections.
However, the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the Supreme Court of India have always arbitrarily ignored the complaints and petitions about EVM manipulation without any investigation.
In the absence of any organized opposition to the misuse of EVMs and the Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT), these allegedly vulnerable machines continue to be used in elections. Although some opposition parties – led by Congress – raise EVM / VVPAT issues after every election defeat, they never oppose EVMs forcefully.
The RMN microsite on EVMs presents multiple aspects of EVM use in Indian elections. With the help of hyperlinks, it explains the scope of complaints, public opinion, latest news, ECI’s claims, independent research findings, and more.
The microsite also details the guidelines of the UN and Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) to hold free and fair elections. It suggests that if Indian voters have doubts about the integrity of EVMs or VVPATs, they can demand elections – particularly the Lok Sabha election 2024 – under the UN-IPU supervision.
RMN microsite also encourages all stakeholders to submit their news, views, and information related to the use of EVMs in Indian elections. The microsite will keep getting updated.
