Cool Japan Launches 100 Tokyo Web Service
|Cool Japan project has launched 100 Tokyo, a new website that introduces products, events and places in Tokyo and all over Japan.
It covers design, fashion, art, food, technology, architecture, tourist attractions, accommodation, events and more.
100 Tokyo has features like maps and a bookmark function to enhance convenience for tourists planning a visit.
Additionally, using social media such as Google+, 100 Tokyo gathers photos with the hashtag #100Tokyo, creating an instant snapshot.
This year 100 Tokyo will select and introduce 100 things that are hot in Tokyo and Japan.
In “Photo tour,” celebrities from Japan and abroad will tour the city and introduce spots they personally recommend.
The first tour is by Jackson Tan, a creative director from Singapore. The next personality is MEG, a singer and model who is active in both Tokyo and Paris.
Tourists can personalize their experience on 100 Tokyo by saving favorite items and places with the “Save to My Tokyo” bookmark function.
“The information on 100 Tokyo can enhance the quality and time spent in Japan for those who are visiting from abroad for both business and pleasure,” says Hideaki Ibuki from the Creative Industry Division of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). “We hope you will love discovering what a creative city Tokyo is.”
100 Tokyo is a part of the Cool Japan project run by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). METI is in charge of planning and management for 100 Tokyo.
