Burson-Marsteller Names Michael Law President of U.S. Region
|Burson-Marsteller, a leading global public relations and communications firm, says that public relations industry veteran Michael Law will join Burson-Marsteller as U.S. president on Feb. 1.
Law will work closely with U.S. CEO Dave DenHerder, securing new business, growing existing clients and ensuring client service across the network.
Recently, Dallas Lawrence, chief global digital strategist for Burson-Marsteller, was named Social Media Professional of the Year by PR News at the publication’s annual PR People Awards. (Read: Burson-Marsteller’s Dallas Lawrence Wins Social Media Award)

According to Burson-Marsteller, Law (pictured above) has spent more than two decades in the business. Most recently, he was president of Ogilvy & Mather West, where he handled its West Coast operations. Law will be based in San Francisco and report to DenHerder.
Burson-Marsteller also announced that it has appointed Bill Orr as executive VP, working closely with the firm’s U.S. leadership. Orr will focus on growing the firm’s technology and consumer marketing capabilities, specifically focusing on building a portfolio where these two areas intersect.
Orr was most recently executive VP at Racepoint Group. He will be based in San Francisco and will also report to DenHerder.
