|Global Conference on Harnessing Data to Improve Corruption Measurement
Through interactive panels, experts will discuss topics such as the development of a UN statistical framework to measure corruption.
Measuring corruption is essential for understanding its causes, consequences and trends, as well as for designing and evaluating effective responses. By developing reliable and comparable indicators and data, we can enhance transparency, accountability and evidence-based policymaking in the fight against corruption.
From 31 August to 1 September 2023, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) are joining forces in hosting the first Global Conference on Harnessing Data to Improve Corruption Measurement. The conference will be held in hybrid format in Vienna, Austria.
The conference aims to bring together policymakers, scientists, practitioners and experts from governments, civil society and academia, to provide a forum to exchange knowledge, experiences and good practices in measuring corruption and the impact of anti-corruption measures.
Through interactive panels, experts will discuss topics such as the development of a UN statistical framework to measure corruption, user-centred approaches to measurement or the use of technology in the collection, analysis and use of data.
