WebMD Community-Sourced Interview with President Obama
WebMD Health Corp. (Nasdaq: WBMD), a leading source of health information, sat down for an exclusive interview with President Obama this week to ask him questions about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that had been submitted by members of the WebMD community.
WebMD Health Care Reform Expert, Lisa Zamosky conducted the more-than 25-minute interview of the President in the Diplomatic Reception Room at the White House.
In the days leading up to the interview, WebMD solicited questions from the WebMD Community; receiving nearly 5,000 questions from a diverse range of consumers – men and women, young adults to seniors, representing all 50 states – looking for answers about the ACA and health insurance.
According to WebMD, the questions that were submitted covered a broad range of topics and themes.
“As the March 31st enrollment deadline approaches, many have questions about the Affordable Care Act and its potential impact on their lives,” said Steve Zatz, president of WebMD.
“People want to understand how the ACA works and how it will affect their health decisions in years to come. We believe this was the right time for President Obama to sit down with us, and address questions drawn from the perspectives represented by the millions of Americans who turn to WebMD for answers.”
WebMD’s interview of President Obama will premiere on today, March 14, at 8:00AM EDT, and be accessible at http://www.webmd.com/AskObama.
