Smart Exporter: Technology Awareness Program for Exporters
The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) has planned to organize a one-day orientation program on technology applications for export marketing.
Christened Smart Exporter, the aim of the program is to inform exporters about technology deployment for their business operations with a focus on global marketing needs.
The program will be extremely useful for exporters to grow in the digitally connected always-on business world, says FIEO which is an industry body set up by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India.
Today, it is an imperative particularly for exporters to leverage information and communications technology (ICT) tools to market their products and services in all parts of the world. As change is the only constant in tech markets, marketers need to keep pace with changing tech-led business world.
Smart Exporter program is being organized with technical and content support from Raman Media Network (RMN) Company, which is a leading integrated technology media company specializing in emerging technologies and digital / new-media platforms.
Export Marketing
In order to help Indian exporters introduce technology culture in their organizations and after the success of our digital marketing awareness program that we held on December 10, 2012 in New Delhi, FIEO and RMN Company are extending the scope of their technology awareness programs by organizing Smart Exporter.
The one-day training / orientation program will cover different topics including Technology for Business Apps, Selection of Tech Manpower, Digital Technologies for Marketing, Digital Brand Communications (B2B and B2C), Digital Content Creation, Relevance of Multimedia Content, Web Traffic Analysis and Management, Mobile Marketing, Social Media Management, Digital and Social Media Advertising, Emerging Media Advertising, Relevance of Search Engines, and Digital Campaign Management.
The program will be extremely useful for company CEOs, CMOs, marketing managers, IT managers, HR heads, and other senior management people responsible for business development of their organizations.
While the Smart Exporter program is being planned for different cities in India, the first event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at FIEO office, Niryat Bhawan, New Delhi.
The per-candidate fee for the program is Rs. 1,200 (for FIEO members) and Rs. 1,500 (for non-members).
Companies (FIEO members and non-members) that want to expand their businesses in export markets can send their people to attend this program and benefit from the knowledge gained through it to apply technology for business growth of their companies.

About the Speaker / Presenter – Rakesh Raman
Rakesh Raman has over 20 years of experience in the technology markets as a technologist, senior tech journalist, analyst, and columnist. These days, he is managing a global technology information service RMN Digital as part of the RMN Company.
Also, Rakesh has been associated with the United Nations (UN) through United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) as a digital media expert to help businesses use technology for brand marketing and business development.
Rakesh has been conferred the National-level government award for his contribution in the field of technology journalism, which has been a unique distinction in the country. The award was presented to him at the Republic Day function.
Besides holding senior editorial positions with top media companies, Rakesh was writing an exclusive edit-page technology business column (named Technophile) regularly for The Financial Express (a daily business newspaper of The Indian Express group).
He has anchored nationwide technology events and training programs for some of the top local and international companies.
